Psychological thrillers focus on the characters’ unstable emotional or mental states, and I love to read this genre. So, when Harriet Blimm began to pester me, I knew I wanted to write her story.
As in my other works of fiction, Harriet quickly became as real to me as my friends and family. And, along with Harriett came Morrigan and Nevermore, a pair of American Crows who serve as Harriet’s friends, mentors, and perhaps, her conscience.
When Harriet finds herself in an untenable situation, she doesn’t plan to murder anyone, but things changed one ugly afternoon. As the situation deteriorates, the plot twists and turns. Rescue appears and disappears. With the crows to guide her, Harriet struggles to understand life and the people around her. But killing to solve a problem seems like a logical solution for Harriet, and she kills again.
I enjoyed every minute of researching and writing this book. Yes, it’s a dark story but I did have fun. Exploring human nature is full of many twists and turns. I admit the search history on my computer is enough to get me arrested!
