Short Story Wins

Short stories are a favorite form of writing for me so, a few weeks ago I entered a flash fiction contest.

Flash fiction is a form of writing where the author is allowed up to 500 words to create a complete story. We were given a few guidelines – like keep it clean – but we were not given prompts. If you’d like to try it yourself, here are a few prompts to get you started.

This contest was sponsored by Semi Sages of the Pages, a podcast that you might enjoy listening to. The four women who are featured on this podcast discuss books, writing, reading and pretty much whatever they are thinking about at the moment.

I’m delighted to report that my story, Defying Distancing was one of the winners! You can listen to the podcast here. Or you can see me reading the story – in a less then professional video by scrolling down.

If you are a follower on Facebook or Instagram you may have already seen this announcement, so you can just ignore this blog.

Or better yet, please share the video on your own page. And – leave a comment below and tell me if you’d like to hear me reading more of my writing. (I promise, the videos will get better as I learn to use this Video Editor.)

No steamy romances, however.
Happy Reading, T.
